1997 Porsche 911 Cabriolet - did not sell on ebay

I am curious to know why this 911 did sell for the asking price. The price seems reasonable considering the mileage. Paint is mediocre. Interior carpet is dirty. Vague info on mechanicals.

So, do you think the car has serious issues or maybe the seller can't be trusted?

I sent the seller a message that went unanswered. I know a proper PPI would be required to properly answer my question(s) but I am fishing for any history on this here 993.

Resale RED is a bad color then?

I personally think it looks better than say black with a black top or another darker body color.

Seller seems well known but you never know. See SickRick's sig. The car looks fine.
What I see in the photos, IMO, the paint needs a cut, buff and possible paint correction to really look good.

Clear coat is a problem on the rear bumper especially across the top, but to be expected on a Cali car at 20+ years if it sat outside for a long period. The top has some foreign matter, hard to be sure, like flakes on it. Maybe it sat under a tree or had something shedding on it.

IMO the car needs interior work to be a nice driver. My wife would look at me sideways if she were to see that interior on a 30+ $$ car.

Again, was the price too high or maybe another reason for no sale? Case in point for 17k extra 25k less miles and a little cleaner. See 1995 for sale here below.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/963711-fs-1995-porsche-993-carrera-2-cabriolet.html Asking is 48,500.

WTFO? It's a nice 20 yo car for a good price. Looks like it could be a fun DD....

Never understood the hate red and it's a cab mentality.

You never hear that from the Ferrari crowd.
