HELP !!!! IS this worth my buying to save on a ten year project (I am just a guy... not a professional by any means).
Asking $13,500
As far as we can tell everything is original.
Motor worked when parked, but now the fan will not turn. (All plugs are still in place.)
I think the entire front clip needs replaced as well as the whole speaker tray/firewall.
90% of the glass was broken by a 12yo who also threw house paint all over the car. (NOT my kid btw)
Fenders need replaced, but other body panels seem to be very savable.
Rockers in and out, need replaced.

I need to know if this is too gone for a normal guy. I would have engine and tranny worked on by Porsche shop somewhere.

My local brother is a welder.
And I am very patient, methodical and ocd.

PLEASE HELP !!! IS THIS WORTH MY TIME AND $13,500 ????

Plus, I can't figure out how to post photos or compress them to be accepted.
edwarddose@gmail.com if you are interested in seeing the photos.

Unless it's a pile of dust, it's hard to lose money on a sub $20,000 E but without photos, I think it's difficult for anyone to give you a definitive answer.

Thread is worthless without photos. I don't understand why people do not understand the big, large, blue button on the bottom of the post that says 'Click Here to Upload Photos.'

Without photos, I would say no, it's not worth it.

When creating a new thread you have to double open it to advanced features if you want to upload pictures.

I never had to do this, as with Firefox on a Mac, whenever I upload anything on a new thread or not a blue box is right under the text box on the left-hand corner. Above the blue box that says Click Here to Upload Photos is another line in blue text that says Attach a Photo. I never had any problems with a new thread or responding with photos.

I saw the big blue button. "File size is too large, condense picture." Something I don't know how to do. Sorry.

It looks worse than it is because of the house paint thrown all over it by the 12yo little **** that also broke all the glass.

Everything is original. Yes, even the motor. Fenders would need to be replaced as would the whole front clip, a floor board, the fire wall/speaker tray and both rockers (in and out). Tach,Speedo, and clock are the only surviving gauges. Under car is actually pretty good. Engine turned when parked but fan does not move now. All the plugs are in place and I am not sure if it is just the fan that it is stuck. Wrenching on the nut produced no movement but again that could be because fan is corroded and stuck in place...I'm not sure. There was not enough room to really get at the motor or see under it.
Car was covered in boxes, books, papers, trash and what not for at least five years. Before that it sat in a yard unprotected.
Suspension all seems good and I believe the brakes are from the "S" (an option that year I've been told).

Wow, great photos. Andy Warhol or Jackson Pollock would be proud.

Yes, it's worth the asking. Yes, it's worth getting in over your head. As a starting point at that price, it's going to be a fun hobby and you're going to meet some awesome people on this site.

Thank you Sal. Yes Pollock would be proud of the kids work. Precious little creature that he is. Wish I could have introduced him to a 2x4.

I am going into it as a 10 year project. I have a full time job, so I don't have tons of time during the week to work on it. But I do need a hobby and this is much better than smoking pot. LOL.

I know it will be pricy but a bit here and a bit there... it will get done. Eventually.
