Well I hope it goes for huge money. I have a guards red 88 coupe with just under 65K miles. Mine has linen interior and factory spoilers. I also just rebuilt the suspension, added new Bilsteins all around, turbo tie rods, and 17 inch Fuchs Repos.

That is a nice one - sure hope they did not toss the booklets away.

It will go for 40.800 without books - 45.800 with books.

It is worth 30.000 without books - 40.000 with books.

Books? Service books? Why are they worth so much?

There is a certain well known used Porsche dealer in Houston who buys books and old service records for their cars in inventory. I sold them some years ago.

I know a Porsche specialist shop around here that has file drawers full of these things. Piles of them.

I'm sure he'll die with those file cabinets still full.

Victory is my guess.

Did you sell them records knowing they would be used to commit fraud? Does not sound like you!?

Jeez...this is just the kind of 911 I would like to own as a 1976 newborn. If it had the books I would gladly replace the funky woody knob with an original one and pay 35K.

Ronnie might be a taker for the woody knob.

People, like the Dangling Dane, who buy these cars to park in their garages, and then swoon as they wipe them down with a diaper, see value in service booklets. Right, Chris?!

Sellers representative has been completely silent with no response to questions etc... Not the best way to get top dollar for his customer.

Maybe he's getting sellers remorse and hopes the auction will fizzle and not make reserve
