Belly Laugh of the Day
|
WOW, wtf were they thinking in the 80s....
|
If I am a good negotiator, I wonder if I could get him to throw in the matching washing machine sitting in his driveway???????

I'd be lucky to get $100K for my car. This guy is a Moron and this gem of an add must be saved for future laughs.
1979 Porsche Slantnose 911/930 Turbo - $98540 (Sutherland, Va.) Uniquely Rare one of a kind Porsche with European front end racing lights. Stored for 26 years, 18 years in airplane hanger in Memphis Tenn. for eight more years since 2009 bought as a rolling chassie, minus engine. Original engine was going to be installed in another Porsche. After extensive bartering, engine was reinstalled and shipped to me. NOTHING has been done to this car since purchased except cleaning brake disc/pads loose from rust for moving and removal of two tires for inflation. Engine 3.3 L six cyl. 300hp turbo four speed not seized, Dual stainless steel exhaust. I turn it with breaker bar every three months. Engine has not been modified, repaired or started. Currently not running. Recaro bucket electric seats, windows and RView mirrors, Sony radio. Has no battery, gas never put in tank. Has ignition key. Not a dab of polish applied. Steel body. This is da real deal. Over past eight years I have moved it three times. This is NOT a kit car. Similar to a Rare Gemballa Cyrrus. Valued over $180k. Needs: Inclusive of the following but not limited to ------ in-depth mechanical and electrical evaluation to prep for operational status. (Was fully operational before storage). Convertible top and tires dry rotted-holding air. Were new. Gotti J55A deep tub turbo racing rims need replating. Other-wise excellent condition. A very few body cracks, couple skirt holes, two loose driving/fog lamp housings, broken license fixture, loose engine grill hood. Couple air duct hoses missing. AC compressor removed - included. Recaro bucket electric racing seats need reconditioning. No holes/tears/rips. Tinted electric windows and interior need cleaning. Needs carpets cleaned/replaced. Couple of CB/security/cell wires hanging down under dash. Trunk mat/jack/spare tire missing. Convertible top, skirt/air dam, license plate damage done by carrier. General TLC needs to be applied. This is a unique SHOW STOPPER. Love that roar! I perform my own work. Time changes life's priorities. Parted out at this level of quality---- $45,000 plus. :-) Serious inquires only. |

Here are some gems from the cars description:
"Uniquely Rare one of a kind Porsche with European front end racing lights." Uniquely rare. Ummmm, Yeah. One of a kind foooooor sure. "After extensive bartering, engine was reinstalled and shipped to me." Would have loved to been a fly on the wall for this exchange. "This is da real deal." It doesn't get any more real. It really doesn't. "Similar to a Rare Gemballa Cyrrus. Valued over $180k." Similar. "Convertible top and tires dry rotted-holding air. Were new." Everything was new at one point. "A very few body cracks, couple skirt holes, two loose driving/fog lamp housings, broken license fixture, loose engine grill hood. Couple air duct hoses missing. AC compressor removed - included. Recaro bucket electric racing seats need reconditioning. No holes/tears/rips. Tinted electric windows and interior need cleaning. Needs carpets cleaned/replaced. Couple of CB/security/cell wires hanging down under dash. Trunk mat/jack/spare tire missing. Convertible top, skirt/air dam, license plate damage done by carrier." Well, at least he's honest. Says it needs general TLC. "This is a unique SHOW STOPPER. Love that roar!" Yes, I believe it would stop any show. Does the car roar or am I missing something? "I perform my own work." What would you say, you actually did to this car? What work? If you could tell me, that'd be great... |
Holy crap. I was so distracted by all the ugly I missed the fact it has 6 headlights plus 2 fog lights.
I'm sure the headlight switch is in perfect condition. The builders inspiration? http://riotfest.org/wp-content/uploa...z-1024x720.jpg |
"Original engine was going to be installed in another Porsche. After extensive bartering, engine was reinstalled and shipped to me... Engine 3.3 L six cyl. 300hp turbo four speed not seized."
We don't know whether the original engine ended up in another car but, unless I'm mistaken, based on the VIN, I'm fairly certain it didn't end up in this one. Also gotta wonder how the engine was reinstalled, then shipped. _ |

Makes an RWB look attractive.
|
Those Gotti's are "oh so appropriate".
|
"steel body" LoL where is the steel? Maybe somewhere under all that crappy fiberglass hung on it.
|
So he's never had it running, but "love's that roar"???
Wheels need replating, but otherwise "excellent" Well, except for the damaged, failed, scratched, torn, modified, missing and broken stuff, it's a concours queen! |

Engine, transmission, rear bumper, tail light lenses, maybe the brake calipers. Throw the rest in the garbage.
