What's it worth ???

I hope it is OK to pick the brains of this forum.....

I've been away for a while and now it is time to let someone else enjoy my BABY...

Trying to determine a fair price for my 1987 911 Porsche Carrera 3.2

A true survivor. About as perfect, unmolested 1987 Porsche 911 that you will find! All factory. No modifications except for an upgrade to a Turbo front sway bar.

I've owned it since 2005. I'm third owner.
It has never been in the rain and never washed with water. Stored in heated and air conditioned garage. Not driven in winter.

When I bought it it had 46K miles....59K now.

Perfect original black paint / perfect original black leather interior. No cracks, or rips or nothing!

Never in accident.

Zero mechanical issues. Brakes, shocks and ball joints at 50K. Really didn't need it, but I was bored one winter! Brake fluid exchanged at same time as brakes.
Has AC but disconnected, not sure if it works. Reno Radio that works sometimes. Cruise control, Electric drivers seat, runs perfect.

Targa top is excellent on outside but needs new headliner on inside.

Original space saver spare...never used.
Original Porsche compressor, never used
All owners manuals

It currently has Euro headlights, I have the original headlights
Aluminum pedals...I have the unworn originals

Any idea what this car would be worth?

all factory... no modifications?
I see painted (or replaced) brake calipers...
Euro tail lights
some kind of siren looking thing in the engine bay
an A/C that has had its belt removed.
an aftermarket pedal cluster
front headlights have been removed/replaced at one point (not the original screws or headlight ring)

Nonetheless, the car looks great... it just isn't what you would call "a true survivor"

usually when someone has done things like this... unless you are the original owner of the car, most likely other things have been done to it in the past as well.

It will probably sell in lower $40k range. Nice Targa.

I like it, just not a Targa lover. The low miles might push that baby to high 40's. Crappy time of year to sell in the NE tho.

Guess you didn't read my whole post........:D

BTW, Calipers are just painted. Rear brake lights are original.

Siren is a fantastic Chapman Alarm...If you were around in the 80s you'd know THAT is worth an extra few hundred $$...SmileWavy

So I have won 100% of the last two "guess the price here".

Nice car!

Hate the pedals, targa top and painted calipers. I will probably hate more judging from the previous.

I doubt the milage is correct. Let me see close ups of the seats, gear knob(love you Ronnie) and the service booklet.

But with the info you have supplied you will get close to 32k on bat but it is worth 25k.

Porsches today are also for the small mindedSmileWavy

A car fax will clear up the mileage issue

Seats are perfect!

Seats are perfect!

Service book and pics. If you want serious answers provide needed info. Very simple.

By the way. That certificate looks fake - and not well done.

RoyB 10-20-2017 10:17 AM

Thank you...Great help. Between here and another site I know what to ask and hopefully receive. If you consider that you could buy this car in 1987 for $43, 376, drive it for 30 years and get your money back.........not bad!

Exactly as stated....Odometer failed recently as Mass State Inspection will bear it out. Not too keen on being called a liar........

You came out the wrong way man. What a shame.

But after looking at your pics I realize that you are not a fraud. But that is the interwebs - let that be a lesson to you.

But I would gladly help to describe your car for a ad to get the most out of it.

Just say the word.

Christian
