Interior replacement opinion?
87 Marine Blue G50 coupe with Linen Leather interior - very original car, 190k miles so definitely a driver. Imperfect but presentable paint. Totally refreshed mechanically this year.
Considering a full or partial redo of the "full leather w/vinyl belt line" interior which is well used but not abused. Front seats have been recovered once in vinyl so I for sure want to get these back to leather, and replace seat base foam. Dash and door caps are cracked. Please offer some opinion on whether or not I should strive to keep the cars originally spec'd color way, and if an all new interior kit is a good or bad idea for a higher mileage car like this. Would maintaining patina be better? Maybe a dumb noob question, but I am one! thanks! ![]() |

With that mileage it doesn't matter. If you might sell in a couple years just repair and maintain what is there without change or restoration. If you think you might put another 50k mi on it do whatever you want. Thats so far out in the future all that matters is your pleasure in it.
