Whats wrong here....eBay RSR backdate
I've been thinking about something like this and based on the latest offerings here and on BAT...prices do justifiably vary. But why isn't this getting more interest with only a day to go?? Sure its a dealer with marginal pics but.....??

Honestly I think that the car is soft because it's basically a tired, high mileage, 911 SC with new paint, and back date fenders applied. The seats are not custom, or interesting, and the interior is very simple + not fresh looking. the 3.0 CIS engine is also not very special, or fun to look at. That being said the car doesn't look bad (only a quick skim of the pictures), and it's in the neighborhood of SC prices right now, which seems pretty fair. If a back dated car is what someone wanted, and didn't care about power or cutting edge one off interior, this car seems like a good deal, especially considering that you would need to buy a 28k+ 911 SC and then do all the body work to end up at this point.

Under-valued.... think it has potential..... maybe better return on BaT

I was trying to find the issue, but struck out. That car, and his brother's car were both recently featured in Pano. It can't be more than a couple months back, and now they are both for sale.
While it's a nicely done car, I don't see anything special about it. I would be surprised if the reserve is less than $40k. Agree that it would be better on BaT. |

BTW, the car listed in the OP is on their site for 72k |
I’ve seen that car in person and the paint is wonderful! That said it’s a sc with some cosmetic work.
Backdate body parts $6000 Paint $10,000 Misc $5000 Total $21000. Any decent sc $30,000 Total $51,000 and you can choose the color and interior. I think the car is a solid buy At $40-55k any more is just a premium. Just my two cents |

Boils down to the engine and transmission work, IMO.
All that body work is a kinda 'who cares' to me, except for those 7 and 9's. This car better deliver in spades on the street. It looks the part alright, but does it perform? This backdating and wannabe stuff is for the birds unless the car is a true, hot rod beast. I'm all for those builds, but this is not one of those. Slap a 3.6 in that baby and then we'd have something to bid on. |
It's interesting, but that green is hideous. For the $45-55k this thing should fetch, there are more interesting cars to be had.

This car has been run on eBay literally dozens of times for many many months. They had it on their website for something in the $80's. They have no interest in selling it at any price close to the market. I have bid into the 40's in at least half a dozen of their eBay auctions.
