What's it worth...3.0L & 915

Hey guys - I have an 83 3.0 swapped in my car. Starts up perfectly and sounds great - I have running videos but I unfortunately do not know the mileage. The 915 shifts great and once again no issues. With limited information what is the range on something like this?
Thanks for the help.

some compression testing if still in the car & leak down numbers will go a long way in a starting value. pull the valve covers and check to see if all head studs are in tact. FACTS like this will provide a good basis to start negotiations.

when buying a undocumented transmission unless from a familiar source you have to assume the worst so buyer are likely to be cautious.

in regards to value, I would have started with a classified search to see what recent asking prices are for the two items.. let us know what you find on both accounts for a discussion of any merit.

I bought this engine from a Pelican add in 2011, prices have gone up considerably since: (very happy with the engine in my 73.5 Targa):

Recently removed upgraded '81 SC engine and transmission from my '81 SC after car was damaged in front, causing parting out the car. Upgrades include 1) Max Moritz 3.2 liter pistons and cylinders, 2) 964 cams, 3) Raceware hardware, balanced rods, Carrera oil pump. New parts included: intake valve sleeves, rod bearings and rods balanced, and rocker arms. Transmission clutch disk, pilot bearing and fork were replaced. All of the above was performed in 2004 at 120,000 miles approx. and now at 132,000 miles. Transmission has recently installed Quaif LSD. Good solid reliable running engine with no oil leaks
. Transmission will need third gear syncro replaced in future depending on how fast you want to change gear. Asking $6,000 for both, or $4,500 for engine and $1,500 for transmission. Located in Southern California. Can send photos via email.

Engine $6-8k as it sits. Do what Juan said and $8-10k
$2500-3k on the gearbox.
$10k package deal.
