930 Advice
Hi
I’ve been offered the chance to buy a 1976 Brown with saddle interior 930 turbo. Matching numbers car, mechanically sound and just needs a few very minor cosmetics doing. It’s done 204k miles. They want around 110k US for it which I’m not sure about. Looking at the market that I’m not sure of that is good or bad and the kms do put me off. What do people think. Scott

old eyes... the bike on the far end looks like the rear of an electric bike a colleague of mine commutes on. the second one from the far end has a very contemporary looking single swing-arm. that old white bell star helmet on the bike bars does look like 45 years ago.... old, corrected eyes here...

I think it is way newer than that. If it is an old shot, maybe 5 years and that is about it. Look at the guy on the right taking a pic with a smart phone. That is how I'm dating it.

Nice 76
My bad.I looked at the helmet and thought older.Great color of that car.I missed the electric bike.I have an electric bike here in Costa Rica for 7 years now.If that is original paint the car is stunning and a very good value.Only original once.Ciao Fred

The white bike looks like a late 2000's early 2010's Triumph Speed Triple

It's beautiful. I like chocolate metallic or whatever that is.
Too bad the original Fuchs are not on it and it looks like lame 1987 H5 headlights are installed. Euro H4 headlights would be nice. As long as the economy keeps getting better nice ones will continue to go up in value and cars like this will never be made again. |

Buy it if you absolutely have to have this color combo, but I wouldn’t expect to turn a profit on it. I surely wouldn’t expect a 200k plus mile 930 to be a solid investment, especially considering all of the maintenance costs it’ll need with that kind of use. But I guess my opinion comes with a grain of salt, cause I’m not of the belief that the early Turbo’s are the holy grail as many of you are.

There is a guy sitting down behind the car taking a picture of it with his cell phone. That phone looks like a fairly current phone, so the picture can't be too old.

Hi
Photo is recent over the last few day. It’s 200k miles and the price is in IS dollars, I’m sure there are better deals out there but it is a first year model so wasn’t sure.
