How much should I pay for a 997 tip convertible?

Hi,

I am shipping my 2012 Camaro SS back home to Sweden, and would like to replace it with a Porsche 997 tiptronic convertible. My question to the experts here is how much I should expect to pay for such a car?

First of all, which year didn't the 997 blow up their engines anymore? After owning two 996, I am tired of worrying about the IMS or cracked heads or scarred cylinders or D-chunk.

I am looking for an ok drivers car, and have no problem with over 100 k miles, or scratched bumpers, or even minor repair needed. The Camaro have spent 18 months and 3 k miles in South FL, and now I have to repaint both bumpers and one door just because people can't park down here. So it seemes like a waste of money to pay up for a pristine car.

Any ideas would be very appreciated!

Regards,

Johan

A nice 2010 or 2011 Carrera Cab 997.2 with PDK mid $40s.

This is a long way away from you but perhaps a good data point on pricing?

Hey Johan, if you spot a car in the Los Angeles area, I can go kick its tires for you.
