I could be mistaken but the yellow doesn't look right. For the longest time one could not get the script in the correct yellow, so people were buying what they could get and painting all the other yellow to match. Sail trim also looked painted instead of anodized.
If you find someone make sure they know LEs. There's lots of little subtle things. Most are covered on the LE Registry Jeff Bowslby maintains but having it done right makes a huge difference in value. Even that front spoiler is unobtainium as a factory part with 3-4 reps on the market. I've heard of people paying $1000 for just the spoiler.

Matt,
I thought the same thing about the yellow. The wheels on most LE's for US market were not painted completely like this one - they had a bare metal outer rim. However on the original porsche marketing material , they were all yellow. I have asked for the vin and additional photos but no response yet. |

Yep on all counts. In light of that I was surprised the headlight motor covers were the proper grey ones. Vin won't say anything unless it is on the registry. Otherwise they will need a COA to verify.

I’ve been to BJ almost every other year for a while now. Many cars like the incorrect LE above. Good from afar but far from good....

i saw a Carrera scripted 964(why?)with a couple urban outlaw stickers and those hollow fuchs earlier this week at the shop I'm "loosely" affiliated with and the CARRERA script on the lower door looked like crayon art. i asked the owner where he got the door script from with my best straight face and he said a pelican vinyl guy.
careful where you order your script cause they all look legit until they are on the car... applier beware..

This is really random but I recognize the location of the pictures as Victoria BC Canada. I grew up a few minutes away from that marina parking lot and there is also Cars and Coffee that goes on in the Spring/Summer.
There are a lot of specialty dealers, collectors and restorers here so there are plenty of rare cars hidden away. You could email Tim @ Silver Arrow. He may have some background information on the car: http://silverarrowcars.com/ ![]() Last edited by touringteg; 01-05-2018 at 06:53 PM.. |

On TV last night, I watched an '86 930 with 120,000 miles , that had been wrecked and rebuilt with the Orange Jaegermeister livery, sell for over $100k. i wonder what kind of hangover that bidder has today.
