Is $30K the new low for an SC?
Yellow repainted Targa, trashed interior, rusted heat exchangers sold for $30K.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-porsche-911sc-19/ High mileage 79 Coupe that needs a clutch sold for $35K https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1979-porsche-911sc-8/ |
Nope. You can't judge the market based on BAT.
|
I've seen some high-mileage SCs go for under $30k.... but a nice car without a lot of needs, will be over $30k....

Yes for a nice car.... I sold my 83 Coupe at least four years ago for $35K. It was very, very nice.
|
I don't think so, plenty of dealers offering better examples for that price range, and lots of private sellers asking for less without them "flying" off the market.
A couple of good sales doesn't really dictate the market. |

Of course, my emails have gone unanswered. |
Two more on BAT now:
Nice 81 Targa, recent top end rebuild and clutch $25K now 6 days left https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1981-porsche-911sc-targa-6/ 82 Coupe $28K, 7 days left https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-porsche-911sc-21/ |

‘82 Coupe
Didn’t ‘82 models come with 85 mph speedometers?

^^^ You guys have it backwards. The 140 MPH speedo went away and 85 MPH was required in all US vehicles. I believe 1982 was the year.

Picks are lifted from a previous sale off this consignment website: http://www.powertechselectmotorcars.com/preowned_detail.php?ID=137 Price on the website is $29,995, but the website appears to maintain old listings for a long time, and the car was likely sold years ago. |
Test

^^^ Haha. I've been thinking the same thing. The Forums went dark all of a sudden over the weekend.
|

|
$34k is actually reasonable for that car. Unlike $32k for the other one.
|
82 Coupe with 137,000 miles sold for $36,582 plus commission.
|
To think people were telling me my 113k mi limonengelb 86 coupe is a $32k car.
