Low mileage 912e?
Low mileage 912e?
Saw this posted yesterday. They just had an awesome arrow blue 912 that they sold listed at 29 but it was a bit bright for my taste. Obviously this would represent the top of the 912e market, and I think it's probably more in the 30k range. I'm hunting for a car I can daily. I've always been a fan of the 912s, and would love a long hood but wondering if the galvanized and type IV would make a better daily. I quite like the copper gold color. https://www.mohrimports.com/for-sale...e-912/974.html Any thoughts from the gallery? |

I had a very nice one. Drives great around town. Not so much on the highway- too weak. The truck drivers will be breathing down your neck. Some like that (Ronnie)
The sound is another minus. Easy to work on. Mohrs car: They say the paint is excellent!? So excellent that they also chose to paint the bolts for the rear lid mechanism. Overspray on VIN sticker and color code tag - stupid amateurs! Exhaust is not original - an original Bishoff is around 2000 bucks. Whats up with the door sides around speakers and lever? Where is the service booklet? Its a 20K car at best - dont buy it. P.s. I dont believe the milage to be correct. Last edited by christiandk; 01-13-2018 at 09:40 AM.. |

They are not fully galvanized. They were built on leftover 75 bodies.

This is gold. And i don't mean the color of the car. Good catches on things like the exhaust. I wouldn't have been able to tell that. I too was concerned about the over spray. I appreciate the feedback. |

In any case, it didn't look like a 35k car at all to me, but hence why I asked. You guys make me smarter. Thanks for all the feedback everyone. |

Sorry, I knew the end of production was galvanized but my point was you cannot assume it is. I should have stated it more accurately so the mad Dane didn’t get his panties in a bunch.

Here are three from Craigslist (no affiliation) The first two are pretty pricey and the last one needs a total restoration. FWIW, like many people I've always loved Ice Green Metallic.

^^^
That's a rip-cord for the ejection seats if the 86hp becomes too much for the occupants to handle! |
