Every once in a while I check the Craig’s list auto section for air cooled 911’s. I just checked the San Diego area and put out the search 100 miles. Only a small handful of cars came back. And the few were priced at $35 to 40 grand. The only reason I bring this up is because just not to long ago there were always a bunch of 911’s. Interesting I say.

I think with the weakness in the dollar a lot of cars have gone back to Europe recently.

I agree. My local p-car parts guru has been shipping whole cars back to Europe and even Australia as fast as he gets them.

The market is hot with flippers. I left my garage door open this past Saturday and Alex’s son from BHCC was at my front door trying to by my 491. He was driving the neighborhood looking for 911’s. I told him no thank you. He then wanted to take a photo to post on their website. I told him to pound sand. Keep in mind I’m in NorCal.

Recent issue of Panorama only had 2 911 SC's and a few air-cooled Carrera's.
But there are two pages with 944's and 951's listed.

Only 2 air-cooled 911's on CL in my area.

82 Targa for $36K
66 Coupe covered to SC body $66K

They will be coming out April/May. There always seems to be a bunch for sale in SoCal. BAT also has no shortage of them . Finding a great deal on a air-cooled is a different story.

I have a search alert on eBay and it's an unusual day when there are fewer than 30 new aircooled 911 listings.

The market will be flooded come Spring, and no it's not Spring yet, we are getting pounded with wet snow tomorrow.

But starting in April the cars will be flowing here and everywhere.
We will be pumping everything from a 67S to a 53 356 Coupe, to a 59 Cab, to just about everything in between.

Winter be gone!!!!!!!!
