Looking for some pricing help

1974 Mag case 915/06 transmission

just got a 2800$ rebuild, some dog teeth, sliders, and couple syncros

It also got a custom 8:31 ring and pinion to help with highway driving. Company in CA did machine work to add the mechanical speedo gear to the 8:31, this was roughly $1500 if I recall for R&P and machine work

Who made the ring and pinion? Who modified and set it up?

They don’t manufacture CWP sets, but they do sometimes sell and install the junk cwps Albins makes.

The 8:31 was a factory 8:31 that was sent out to have the mechanical speedo gear welded on.

I was thinking 5500-5750 myself

It's worth more to you - why don't you keep it for the next project? I have a feeling you will be doing more cars right? Sounds like a nice 915

Less than 6 months ago I bought an early 1975 915, with 8:31 mechanical speedo, that had fresh synchros, but no new sliders. I paid $2500 for it and nobody had been biting on it at $2800 for several weeks of advertising it. YMMV.
