77 930 1 owner NR estimate $100- 130KK

RM @ Ft Lauderdale today a 1977 930 silver lobster One doctor owner only 35K miles estimate with no reserve $ 100K to $130K estimate. Now this one hit's all the right buttons from many here who would say from these creds it should be much more than a higher miler etc. RM may think the market is in decline or could it be they think it not such a nice example? No PPI or ride and drive at auction.

It’s both. The paint on that car is quite bad, it needs a total repaint. It’s been spot painted all over and it wasn’t even close to being a good job. Plus you could tell some areas were probably repaired due to rust. But it’s still a low mileage turbo Carrera, which I think will sell in the estimated range, which I also think is a fair assessment of the market. Just my two cents...but many of you think I’m off my rocker based on another thread. ;-)

Just as I thought, It looked pretty tacky in other areas as well. From my experience to back in the 70s the 2 part paint failed even with warranty work authorized with not many miles . None the less with all the posts on the importance of low miles, one doctor owner, etc, what else would you want to pay a premium for? This one is a good example of the holy grail, an un molested original car. Or should I say " Should have been molested "with better service and care and not be so " original ". A great example why a look see and drive in person is most important. Many times buyers get PO'd when I say I do not sell without coming in person, even from overseas. Last guy came from Germany for one 930 and after inspecting my 930s, tried to buy 5 others for friends, all for well more than market at the time.. I compromised and let him buy 4. I'd now buy all back for much more than I sold them for.

sold new in my home town, car looks a little rough around edges to me, price seems about right, would be a fun driver.
