How would you gauge the price on on a bastardized 73? Pics inside

It's at a buy here pay here lot near my office. I'm not sure they know much about the car....

Basically a 73, with supposedly an 86 gearbox and 3.2 liter.
Appears to have 996 or Boxster brakes, front and rear.
Half cage.
Some sort of aftermarket exhaust.
Aftermarket seats.
Dash looks great.
If I remember right, the odo says 110k but who knows...
17" fuch replicas with fresh tires.
Rear fenders and bumpers appear to be fiberglass.

If it has floors, rear shelf, and front pan it is.

Thanks for looking that up.

Any suggestions on price? It's kind of neat even though it's not even close to an original.

I would want to lift up some carpet, rear seat cushions and behind parcel shelf covering. And tap on some rockers. Former owner of '72 rusty piece of crud E. That said - looks like a cool car - nice color. $20k seems like a deal

If the price is solid I'm getting a ppi on Thursday and let my tech go through it and do a compression check.

If you can get it for $20k you are a fool to wait 3 days to close on it. Buy it now, PPI later. Just the engine, gearbox and vin are worth $20k. If it runs, drives and you don't fall through the floors it's worth $30+, maybe even $40k.

It's a buy here pay here and it would take me 5 minutes to figure out where you are and start looking for it if I didn't already know where you are. I guarantee people read this thread and are looking for this car. Don't expect the word of a salesman that he'll hold the car to be true when someone walks in with a pocket full of 100s. The market has cooled, but it hasn't cooled that much...

I agree. Flippers are working overtime to find the car. Buy the damn thing already.

If nothing else it's a spare engine and gearbox for your racecar. Seriously. Such a low risk buy.
