997 GT3 vs 930 from BAT today

From today on BAT:

a really nice '82 930 sells for $91K: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1982-porsche-930-turbo-4/

and a really nice '07 GT3 sells for $83.4K: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2007-porsche-911-gt3-11/

I think both are similarly desirable but very different cars. I'd have to take the GT3 for less money and more capability as well as civility.

You? What do you make of these cars at these prices?

The 930 was awesome. Great modifications by some the best in the biz.
Both cars were market correct. Hard to believe the DME report on the GT3.

That’s the best deal I’ve seen on a 07 GT3.

Prices

Decent price on the GT3, I will be in the market for one in a few years, it gives me hope! Maybe an economic downturn would pressure prices down a bit.

A 997.2 version would be nice due to some upgrades and no sunroof (but dreaded center locks), but I suppose I could live with a 997.1. I just hope there won’t be some wacky spike in prices up for a while.

I thought there might be a slight downward turn in prices on old GT3’s since new GT3’s are available with a proper 6 speed manual, but I haven’t noticed much movement - either down or up.

The 997tt I sold had 485hp. There's no way I'd ever use that power.

Hahaha - I said the same thing about 650HP in my C7 Z06, but I actually use it pretty often. Just for short bursts!

No. What we need is individual driverless transportation pods. And food capsules that meet our every nutritional need with just a single pill.

What we want is huge smoky burnouts, the azz end hanging out, and steak and shrimp.
