I predict it will be for sale for a good while...

What’s the next fad after Safari? Amphi-911 where they make one into a boat-car?

At least it doesn't have two or more of those awful hood lamps on it.

That looks like it belongs in a comic book.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Why no Paris-Dakar ride height on that one; the Turbo hogged all the lift juice?!

Even a hundred hood lamps wouldn't help a fecal colored car.

olive drab

It should be the star on the animated movie Cars with Danny DeVito as the narrator.

Ugh! The color only makes it worse. I bet the car is named "Kermit".

Because it wouldn't be correct on this one.

And it hasn't been Paris-Dakar since 2008. It's just the Dakar and it's been held in S. America for a decade now. Not that you've every gotten anything right before so why start now?

The Turbo you set up as a historical tribute to competition in that event is a 1976 model; isn't that prior to 2008?

Paris Dakar wasn't founded until 1978, though. So you're wrong either way. But don't feel bad. It's not like anyone around here thought you were a rocket scientist to begin with.

forum hard to get play from maninback.... no one ever said any of us was a rocket scientist? duh?

if I had a little money laying around, lived in the right place that could be a fun toy for the right price. if it's been lightened any at all, rode a tad higher, had some good desert tires/suspension, sans emissions it could be a hoot to drive at Pismo or the desert. why not? 996 are cheap enough in some instances, say salvaged title to make a fun sand rig. it's not like you're ruining an aircooled car some with bug eyed sprite goggles...

I've got a few rocket scientist friends. Two at Space-X and one at Lockheed. So what? The personal insults are silly. Grown men...

Didn't realise Porsche did a factory satin paint as an option ? I'm not keen on the colour or that it's a satin but I do like the setup, would be even better if it was a 4.

It’s stupid to do it on anything but a 4.
