991.1 Base vs 'S' $$ difference??

Anyone have any thought to the price difference between a '12/'13 991.1 base vs an 'S'? I'm seeing base cars around $55K but an 'S' with similar options (i.e. few options) around $70K. Does this make sense?

Manheim MMR(average US dealer auction results) for a 2013 Carrera is $52,600 and the same year S is $63k, so yes that makes sense. Most dealers will put more margin on an S for obvious reasons.

Miles and options will have a significant impact on the price a well.

Thanks. I expected about a $10K spread but it seems most cars I see are more like $15K (with basically the same options) so it does seem there's a premium just for the 'S' badge.

Seems to correlate to KBB new car pricing too - per KBB: "The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2013 Porsche 911 starts at $82,100 for the Carrera rear-drive coupe, and $96,400 for the up-power Carrera S. An AWD Carrera 4 is $91,030 and a 4S $105,630.

Same thing happen to me a few years ago hunting for the 991.. i drove both to test em out..
I went with a 3.4 with almost all options buttons i can find at the time. and colors i wanted..
I think the options are much more worth the coin.(they are very good) then the the extra 50 hp .. which not really noticeable as the options are!
One option i didn't know about or get until my TurboS is the PDCC (hydraulic sway bars)
and once you have it .. you CANNOT live without it.. its absolutely AWESOME!!!!!
the Burmester Audiosysteme is the freaking most insane radio/stereo i ever had too.... PERIOD!!!..
Good luck ..
