2007 R1200S Arizona

Don’t sit on your butt this summer reading about people going on cool trips, buy my bike and go on some cool trips of your own!

Bike: 2007 BMW R1200S sport touring bike
Mileage: 20,010
Location: Sierra Vista, AZ
Price: $8,800.00

The Story:

I purchased this bike new in Aug of 2007, a majority of the miles are highway, it has been up to CO a few times, northern Utah, Arkansas, and several day trips. I had the 600 and 6000 mile service performed at the dealer in Scottsdale, I have done all maintenance since then myself but have recorded mileage and what was done. Last week I gave it a full service with valve adjustment, new oil and filter, transmission and final drive fluid. I also replaced the spark plugs.
This bike looks great, runs great, and is ready to travel.

What you get:

Bike (Factory Ohlins, heated grips, wide rear wheel, NO ABS)
Clear AZ title in hand
Hattech luggage rack
Keyed Factory Luggage with liners
Odyssey Battery (~1 year old) and tender
Original Tool Kit, Owner’s Manual, copy of service DVD
Spanking new Pirelli Angel ST tires
(not installed in pics but they are in my shop, I can get them put on if you want to do a fly and ride, or if you pick it up you can carry them off in your truck, up to you. Tires on bike still have about 1000 miles in them.)

I have the original parts off the bike, exhaust, front blinker lenses, windshield, license plate bracket. I’m sure I’m leaving some stuff off. If you have any questions ask.

This is a wonderful bike, I hate to sell it but it just sites here and I ride my dual sport bike more, so it should go to someone who will use it and enjoy it.

PM me if you are interested.

Here is an old pic of the luggage rack, it still looks the same but has some scuffs on the top where you lash down your duffel bag. It was not on the bike when I took the pics and I just remembered it.

Don't spend the summer sitting in your cubicle dreaming, buy my bike and enjoy the west.

This bike is 100% Ready to tour, fly to Tucson, I will pick you up, we do some paperwork at the bank, you pack up your new ride and this could be you.

Thanks for the congrats guys. It was tough, I really like the bike, but it just does not make sense for me out here in the desert with lots of straight roads.

Jon,

What's next, well, this guy Owen turned me on to an Aprilia.......

Seriously, i'm not sure, probably some sort of Adventure bike, I like the KTM 990, but a GS would probably be a smarter choice. Probably won't be seriously shopping till this winter.

Probably closer to 9 months. We don't get winter in AZ till jan/feb, you know, cheap used bike season.
