I just put 15mm spacers on my '85 with the same size tires & wheels as yours. It just fits w/o rubbing - no room to spare.

I got my clips back on. I used WD-40 to make them...

I got my clips back on. I used WD-40 to make them slide easier, bent pliers to hold them, and a flat head screwdriver to push them back on....worked well but took time.
