OK. I now believe that because the 1982 didn't have air conditioning it also didn't have the vacuum reserve NOR did it have the firewall nipples to aircon/heater flaps etc.

Thank you for the information & pictures. So the Brown & Brown/yellow group wires go to the engine Manifold Socket Head Cap Screw & an earth strap goes from there to one end of the grounding block ?...
