I agree it sounds very much like it could be an intake leak. One of my 914s had a cracked carb boot and it would backfire almost every time you'd shut it off. I had to wait like a month for the boots...

I will definitely make sure he includes that with it. I'm not sure if it has the right cooler in the front, but I know it does for sure have one up there because I saw it when I pulled the fenders....

Unfortunately no I didn't get the oil cooler because he's doing putting a turbo in the car that had it so he didn't disassemble the whole car or anything. I think he's giving me the CD 6 pin box but...

Well I ended up buying the 3.0. I got it for 4300 and he also threw in a bunch of parts to throw a turbo on it. So my question is what exactly will I all need to buy so that I can run it in my car....
