Why make it complicated? Those are all through-bolts. Two box wrenches will either break them loose or snap them.

My experience was similar: what was supposed to be the ‘correct’ Bosch part number did not work, in a pretty obvious way.

I took a shot and went O’Reilly’s and they had them (non Bosch) in stock....

Does lowering 911 front end require realignment?

If you lower an inch and a half, the critical thing to deal with would be the change in toe. That can be a DIY fix.

If corner balance is a concern the tripod method (also DIY) will get you close....

Those are through-bolts between the muffler and the cat. Nothing to drill out if you snap them. Agree on the metal gaskets.
