Question Will a leaking externa oil cooler smoke at start up?

My 951 has right under 82K miles and just developed a minor leak I noticed when it formed a small puddle after being driven hard and then parked for 2 weeks.

My only comment is to not use the car much longer with the slipping clutch, or the flywheel will be beyond resurfacing and you'll have to get a new one.

+1. Rebuilt compressors end up leaking again. I had mine on the S2 rebuilt twice and ended up putting in a new unit. Wish I had known this the first tme!

Not entirely true. My 91 951 came with, my 90 S2 came without. Guess which has the most faded hood.

I think there's no harm in replacing the hood insulation with new material. Keeps noise down...
