Funny, my 318 feels faster than my 325is, because of the manual transmission. The 2.5L has the auto, which really sucks the life out of acceleration, unless you hit that 'M' button.

True, that reminds you of the Porsche throttle bodies on the MFI cars.

But the look of the E36 M3 is so much sleeker, in my opinion. To me the E30 M3 and the plain vanilla E30 look very similar.

I don't think that the E36 models had LSDs as standard equipment. I think that stopped in 1991 with the end of the E30s.

What is the compression/leakdown on the engine?
