My bike just started to make a distinct buzzing noise from the top of the motor right at 3800 rpm's on decell only. I think that happened on my R1100R years ago and was some kind of crankcase...

First if you have never done it do a carbon flush.
Then replace the O2 sensor I bet it will cure your bike,it cured mine at 40K.

The same thing happened to my bike. Engine was still using oil after 20,000 miles of hard riding and then the pinging started.
Found this showed it to my dealer and got new cylinders,pistons,rings...

I own a Carb Stix and Twin Max,but I don't use either one anymore.
25 feet of 3/16" plastic hose,3 foot steel ruler and some ATF makes the best too for the job.
