Check you fuse bus in the engine compartment. My starter gave me a fit until I disconnected the batteries and used a wire brush on the fuse bus and the ends of the fuses.

I didn't know someone made them from titanium. I replaced mine 20K ago. It should be OK because they only break if the floorboard is missing, loose, or the clutch pedal stop is out of adjustment.

FWIW,

I have seen several people replace the standard bolt with a hex head cap screw and drill a access hole in their trailing arm. Makes it much easier once this is done.
