My friend has a 96 jetta 5spd. His speedo just stopped working. Sometimes his RPM guage works but most of the time it is out too. Any ideas? I think it could be an electrical problem?

Crazy problem.

My car only starts when the gas tank is above 1/2 full or so. If started it will run fine regardless of tank level but if it is shut off it will only start if the tank is nearly full. The only fix...
