The picture is a bit small but those look like Western wheels. They can look pretty good when they're cleaned up and polished but I think they're heavier than the Fuchs wheels.

My understanding is that the cases are identical...

My understanding is that the cases are identical - it's the heads that are slightly different for the '75-'76 2.0s which have holes for air injection that the earlier 2.0s did not.

For a 2.0L case, it's between the oil filler housing and the fan shroud just about directly below the bar for the cooling flaps that crosses the top of engine.

It could be that your distributor shaft bushings...

It could be that your distributor shaft bushings are worn and that would cause the constant changes in the dwell readings. If that's the case, installing a Pertronix or Compufire module may solve it.

I think it's probably harder to rebuild a Type IV motor than most other motors because you have to use a bunch of different sealers just to make sure the case doesn't leak and you have to worry about...
