I found this tucked away when i removed engine and gearbox.

Car from 79. The thing is located on left side of car, is a two wire, stretches as far as left rear...

Background: -76 911 targa ( 2.7 ), Shot the engine... bought a used engine ( green shroud, 11 blade fan, engine serial states -76 2.7 )...

no boom, no crack, no explosion, no hi sound just a low "boff" when driving and then nothing happened when i tried the accelerator ( well something happened and i made a smoke curtain about 2 km.....
