Mine was $1000, hit by a deer. Just got an email from a shop down the street, 2 new doors, $100/ea. White, even - may not require a repaint!

Then, a driveshaft for $100 - I'm in business!

Muffler question

I bought an '88 528e w/ an aftermarket muffler on it. It's very loud, too much for a 72mi. a day commute.

I'm going to have the old muffler put back on, until I upgrade to a better aftermarket...

Well, my point was I wanted to make sure it didn't have one before I remove the wheel and put on a Momo or Sparco wheel.

Thanks for the advice. Have I ever seen an airbag? Hmm.... don't know...

I have an '88 528e - how can I tell if it has an airbag?

The wheel looks very small to be able to house an airbag. It doesn't say SRS or anything on it.

I don't see any fuses or anything...

Mine 'may' have an e-to-i conversion (or partial, who knows) that might give it a bit more hp - it certainly...

Well, I just bought an '88 Super-Eta 528e on Sunday, for $1000.

White paint, 3 sets of wheels, leather is ok (worn, but not ripped), everything works except the headrests (powered).
5M, CD player...
