Problem solved. The aligment became obvious when installing the outer chain supports and camshaft sprockets. It seems the right side was pushed too far back on the support bolts.

The 4 ramps (2 black left, 1 black-1 brown right)...

The 4 ramps (2 black left, 1 black-1 brown right) inside the engine case.
The bolts are the same, but on the right side the end of the bolts sticks out further through the ramps.

Hi,

Rebuilding my 2.4T engine.
Is it normal that the chain ramps on the left side of the engine are not pushed as far back on the support bolts as on the right side?
