I see what the problem is then. I get no vacuum at either port on the throttle housing at either idle or after the throttle opens up. Could the port be plugged then...

As I understand it..the distributor doesn't have a vacuum advance, only a vacuum retard. I'm testing with it plugged, but it makes no difference if its plugged or connected. I'm testing from cranking...

I disassembled my distributor because the centrifugal advance was advancing only ~15 degrees, from cranking to 6000rpm. I found the weights and springs to be rusty and not moving freely. I cleaned it...

I have heard that the bottom screw adjust the cold setting and the top the hot setting, or is it the other way around? (I have done the top adjust mod)....

After assembling and torquing down the cylinder heads on my 1974 2.7, I had to disassemble it again. My question is, can I reuse the head gaskets?
