Can too much oil mess up your transmission?

My '67 has a 901 trans, and on decelleration the box whines.....Can too much oil (like 5 oz too much) cause this? Cant drive it until the weather clears...

Hmmmm Parts!

I have a 71 (clutch arm on wrong side) what would be the chances that the R&P would interchange????? 71-67 what could go wrong?

I have a 67 with a 901 5 speed. When I decelerate the trans sings or howls. Takes about 15 miles or so to start. If the clutch is in...in gear or neutral no noise. if the selector is in neutral...

My 67 912 has a 901 trans newly rebuilt. When it gets hot ....10-15 miles....it begins to sing or howl when I let off of the gas. No sound when the clutch is in. no sound when in neutral ...
