Serious question -lots of examples on here and its a common problem. But is it that all the owners with the problem post on here.

Can anyone estimate the percentage of cars to which it happens?

This is actually a great idea. Maybe even cover the bolsters in blue leather.
Though there is some worn piping on the drivers seat, so this would need to be replaced also.

Practical solution, but...

Not sure whether to replace the seat fabric with the original, or cover the seats with leather/ vinyl.

Stangely, the cost will be about the same. Be interested to hear any comments.
