Porsche Crest How to test cut-off valve

This is the cut-off valve of the secondary air injection system. I suspect it is malfunctioning and that is why my AOS is about to give up (replaced 7K miles ago).

Thank you guys for the replies. I am now committed to do the IMS and while in there I will replace the RMS too. Regardless of where the leak is coming from, the car has 91K miles and the risk of IMS...

Porsche Crest Oil leak advice

I have a small oil leak coming from where the (manual) transmission meet the engine. In a nutshell, it is either the infamous IMS housing or the RMS. Since the oil is clear (I just did an oil change)...

Update: just cleaned the air intake. A LOT of oil in there, the intake manifold have depressions in the center and oil collects in a pool. If you have an AOS failure, do take the time to clean them!...

What Tony said. If the 4 wheel alignment is right you won't gain anything by dismounting and "rotating". The wear is pretty even. Spend your money on that rather the cumbersome dismount/remount IMHO.

Smile Boxster AOS saga

replaced AOS (all symptoms lead to it)

100mi later the (new) AOS gives way, back to square one.

What would causes AOS to blow? The crankcase check air valve? What else? How do I replace it?
