Refitted engine not firing on all cylinders!

Hmmm,
Just refitted the engine in my SC after a body resto. Tidied up the tinware and changed manfolds and some seals, but other than a change of oils & filters, nothing else done on the unit....

Hmmm, levered round the Omega Spring back into the right position (is just touching on the manifold?) got a nice feeling pedal, then when depressed, went limp again!
The spring hasn't returned fully.

Limp Pedal, SC/915

Initally feeling quite chuffed with myself, having solo refitted the engine & box, piping, lingages, electrics etc, I then discovered that the clutch pedal is all limp. Doh!
