I notice oil coming from the upper rear balance shaft seal. Is there anyway of taking the cover off & replacing the rear seal without removing the front belts, rollers etc.

Heat gun and a lot of patience. After you remove most of it use a rag with Acetone but don't rub to hard or it will start removing the paint.
