Needless to say this attempt at fixing didn't...

Needless to say this attempt at fixing didn't work but changes were noticed.

Changes for the good:

1. It got rid of the clicking sound made by the purge valve I mentioned before.

This is where all the ground lines going thru the ECU meet up. You can see the split in the copper between pins C16 and C35. There was no continuity between the two halves of the fried ground...
