I went through five alternators from the parts...

I went through five alternators from the parts stores before getting a good one (Bosch, but I tried them all.) Assume they’re going to come in bad; order two and return one type thing.

I saved my OEM bulgy, splitty lines when I changed mine out for the 944online.com set (which I believe are Devin Lyons') to remind me how dangerous old fuel lines are. Looks like I averted disaster....

What did you end up doing? Those bolts don't hold much (light torque) so I would be surprised if you needed much to keep it from leaking, beyond tightening the neighbor bolts, if you can't get it out.
