There might be small holes on the sides of the ring, I used small allen wrenches to assist with the removal and to tighten up slightly.

I *think* the G50 rattle was taken care of with updated bushings from Porsche. I sometimes get a rattle on deceleration, my independent referenced a tech bulletin about it.
