Fuel expansion tanks

I am having a spring clean of my 911 over the winter and have now removed the front bumper and windscreen washer tank.

Above it is the fuel expansion tank.
Both hoses need replaced...

If your worried about scratching the casing mask it off first.

Yes the housing has to be separated to access the motor

My car is a 911sc 1982.
Coil is mounted on the fan.

Leads and cap were all replaced last year.

I'm am fitting a ducktail and one of ALs' grills, however living in the uk we have rain!

Can rain or even washing the car with this grill cause issues with water on the coil or HT leads.

When I pull the lever to open the engine lid - it shoots up like an ejector seat 😳😳
