I by passed my 76 bosch cdi unit to standard points and condensor. I haven't hooked up the tach for fear of frying it with the switch. Anyone know (marathon man line here) "Is it safe?"

ENGINE ID AGAIN

i doubt it's a european model. form what i can see the engine ser number indicates a 77. (#6271864). also has a 911/85 stamp. the distributor definitely turns clockwise. do most 2.7's and 3.0's turn...
