78 SC timing question

78 SC has upgraded Euro pistons, raising compression fron 8.5 to 9.5. Should the timing be changed ? stock is 5 BTDC@1000 and 25@6000.

Any help is appreciated

wind screen for 84 Cab

Has any one had experience with after market wind screens for Cab's? I saw one in San Diego in the fall and am interested in trying one out.

Can the flywheel end oil seal be safely installed without the special tool called for in tha manual? i.e. can I just use fingers,sticks, shims, etc?

I rarely wash the top, live is SC and the car is covered. I do clean the window with plastic window cleaner, you can get it at any auto store.

Don't change it too quickly!. I had a similar problem a year ago. There is a cylinder/tumbler that gets stuck. The switch thinks that the car has started and it won't let you engage the starter...
