Hi KY944S, the ignitor or lack of it was the root cause. Once I got the wiring for it and the ignitor installed the car started right up.

You won't have to worry how it looks because you'll be swapping ends a lot. In other words, the handlings gonna suck. Do both ends at the same time.

No worries. I know about that part and I already installed it. I think it's called an ignitor. It's a small box that is mounted in the space underneath the cruise crontrol motor on the passenger side...
