Thanks for all the helpfull input! yesterday the bearing in the alternator broke too, and one of the screws - so I think Im going for a new alternator, which might be a retrofit now that I have it...

#8 The issue is that the belt is pulled in a not desirable angle, I want it to be straight/lined up with the pulley below. The belt is not rubbing the bottom part of the housing, but there is not...

Yes I have 6 shims for belt tensioning - Somehow I need to move the fan longer out of the fan housing towards the back of the car.

What are your inintial thoughts about this one?

Appers rust free, last resto 20 years ago, not pics of engine but should be the 2,2 125hp. Mechanicly sound, paint a bit aged.
