I think I need the “washer” with tab, at the end...

I think I need the “washer” with tab, at the end near the “pulley” where the cable is held onto a “bracket”...

Just wondering - any thoughts about why my 1.8, twin carbs, 1974, 914 after warming up the engine will lose power during acceleration, sputter, and cough! :confused: I did notice the oil...

I have a 74 914 1.8 that I got in the end of Jan. No problems shifting, nice and smooth. Yesterday, however I could NOT get it to go into 4th without multiple tries, and fiddling. Any thoughts/ideas?...

Excellent, thanks for everything! Worked great, no grinding now! Also added gear oil, I have some seeping where the shift mechanism goes into the trans....
Any idea the thread “type” is on the end...

Today I am attempting to adjust my clutch cable in my 74 914 1.8.
Any tips? Never done this before, been reading a lot on forums and things... just looking for solid advice/direction. Unfortunately...
