What did you use to remove the pivot bolts? Were you able to get past all the cables and wires? I assume you left the arm attached to the wheel and unbolted the top pivot and shock?

Found the fix. The shaft that the plate slides on had dry crusty grease on it. Once I got that scraped off, all was good. Re lubed and it no longer sticks , reassembled the door and good for spring...
